We’re looking for a motivated Administrative Apprentice to join our fast-paced Recruitment Department at our Kilbirnie Street Head Office in Glasgow. About the role 

As an Apprentice Recruitment Administrator, you’ll be a key member of Arnold Clark’s busy recruitment team, providing daily administrative support. From advertising vacancies to working closely with recruiters, you’ll play an important role in helping the recruitment process run smoothly in a fast-paced environment. 

You will gain valuable hands-on experience in recruitment while completing an Administration Apprenticeship, developing practical skills and knowledge along the way. We’re looking for someone who is organised, friendly and able to remain calm under pressure. In this role, you’ll become an important part of the recruitment process for a leading automotive company with over 11,500 employees. 

Day-to-day duties (with full training and support): 

  • Completing recruitment compliance documentation 
  • Scanning and uploading candidate documents to internal systems 
  • Updating and maintaining spreadsheets used by the recruitment team 
  • Providing general administrative support to the recruitment team 
  • Managing queries in a shared inbox 
  • Dealing with phone enquiries 
  • Updating our internal applicant tracking system 
  • Handling confidential information in line with company data security rules
  • Helping assign inductions and monitoring completion for new starters 

Essential skills 

  • National 4 or above, or equivalent in Maths, English and one other subject. 
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal 
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills 
  • Basic IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office 
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
