Hours
This is a full-time position: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm.
About the role
During this apprenticeship, you’ll work alongside a qualified electrician, helping to install electric vehicle chargers in domestic and commercial premises. You’ll guide customers through the charger installation journey, from installation to working with charger-specific apps to explaining how to charge their car.
This role will be a great opportunity for any young person who wants to start a career as an electrician in the electric vehicle charger installation industry. The role is very hands on, with most of the learning done in the field. It’s also a customer-facing role, so you’ll need good communication skills and a professional attitude at all times.
Day-to-day duties
- Assist the electrician in preparing the area for the charger installation.
- Liaise with customers and providing them with an estimated time for arrival.
- Assist the electrician with installing the customer app.
- Assist electrician in ensuring the van is tidy and fully stocked with ancillary items.
- Run cables for electricians on jobs.
- Deal with multiple homeowners daily, so a professional and friendly attitude is required.
